Howard Grief, who authored the book The Legal Foundation and Boundaries of Israel Under International Law (Mazo Publishers, Jerusalem, Israel), was a Jerusalem-based attorney and notary. Howard was the world expert in international law as it applies to the Land of Israel. was born in Montreal, Canada and made Aliyah in 1989. He was the author of The Legal Foundation and Borders of Israel under International Law. He served as the adviser on Israel under international law to Yuval Ne'eman while Ne'eman was the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure in the Yitzhak Shamir Government.
Howard passed away on June 2, 2013. He is survived by his wife Ilana and two sons, Ariel and Elad.
Howard is greatly missed by the Office for Israeli Constitutional Law family. This web site is dedicated to Howard Grief's more than twenty years of research and the fight for securing the legal rights of the Jewish People to the Land of Israel.
